About me
My professional goal is to combine scientific and psychotherapeutic work. It is of particular concern to me to help children and adolescents with psychiatric disorders in the present moment and to optimize treatment in the long term through research. Hence, after completing my training in cognitive behavioral therapy for children and adolescents, I started my PhD at the University Hospital of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy. During my doctoral studies my main focus lies on investigating the neurobiological mechanisms of pain dependent stress-regulation in adolescent non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI). Within an experimental study we explore the multi-systemic interplay of neurobiological systems in NSSI with the long term objective of identifying new treatment targets.
