About me
Since May 2024, I have been pursuing my PhD at the University Hospital of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, within the research group led by Prof. Michael Kaess and Dr. Marialuisa Cavelti. My academic background in psychology from the University of Basel, combined with various work experiences in mental health, has fostered my strong interest in prevention and in developing services that promote help-seeking behavior among young people. My goal is to facilitate the early identification of mental distress and ensure timely intervention. I view mental health prevention as fundamental step to enhancing the well-being of young people and supporting their development. My PhD project centers on school-based suicide prevention, specifically the "Schau Hin" project by the Berner Bündnis gegen Depression in the Canton of Bern, and explores ways to improve help-seeking behavior among adolescents through low-threshold support services.
