About me
My overarching motivation is to contribute to the understanding of developing young minds and their capacity to regulate their emotions. Within the context of my doctoral studies at the University Hospital of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (Prof. Dr. Michael Kaess, Dr. Marialuisa Cavelti), I am investigating the possible influence of 1) smartphone usage (Project: SPICY) and 2) glucocorticoid treatments (Project: EMOKid) on respectively relevant young clinical populations. The ultimate goal of these projects is to inform optimization of current therapeutic standards for these populations. Furthermore, my interests extend to include identifying physiological and neural correlates of emotional dysregulation and irritability, as well as to observe their characteristics and therapeutic responsivity throughout development.
